Coonawarra Vignerons Cup
Regarded as a highlight on the country race meeting calendar, the Coonawarra Vignerons Cup attracts over 3000 visitors to the Penola Racecourse, of which, up to 700 guests will be hosted by members of Coonawarra Grape and Wine Incorporated in it's lavish marquee and treated to a full day of fun, fabulous food, fashion and of course fantastic Coonawarra wine!

The Annual Coonawarra Vignerons Classic Clash Petanque Tournament
Le Jeu Provençal!  The Annual Coonawarra Vignerons Classic Clash Petanque Tournament is held at the Piste, in the Coonawarra Park.  The sounds of clashing steel balls, screams of delight and the clink of wine glasses will echo around the Coonawarra township.  The Classic Clash has become a highlight of the national Petanque calendar, with some of Australia's best players coming from Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and the Limestone Coast to compete in this prestigious event.

Coonawarra After Dark Weekend
Experience all the thrills, excitement and the lights of vintage as Coonawarra wineries open their doors to visitors at the peak of the grape harvest (vintage). Join in our annual grape stomp, enjoy the regions best homemade pizzas, dance the night away and feast on the famous Greek banquet.  Take a tour of a working winery, meet and chat with the winemakers, watch the grape harvesters in action, enjoy our wonderful local produce and sample our region's finest wines.

Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival
Celebrate our region's rich history and artistic talents over four days with working artists, performances, exhibitions, workshops, walking tours, fabulous food and fine wine.  The Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival is one of regional Australia's leading arts festivals. It celebrates the literary and arts heritage of Penola and the fine wines of Coonawarra as well as the region’s premium produce. www.artsfestival.com.au

Coonawarra Cellar Dwellers
The Coonawarra Vignerons dig out some treasures from their cellars to offer visitors a rare opportunity to taste and buy aged wine during the month of July. Coonawarra wines are well known for their aging ability and Cellar Dwellers provides our region with an opportunity to showcase wines that are otherwise not available for tasting.
 
2014 marks the event's 10 year anniversary and the wineries are digging even further into their cellars to pull out some exceptional wines for you.  Join us for one of the many dinners and degustation’s held throughout the month or simply wander the vineyards and visit the cellar doors before warming up with a glass of Coonawarra aged wine and a crackling open fireplace.

Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow
From the peaceful vineyards of Coonawarra, to the energetic hubs of Australian cities, the Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow is a highly anticipated event which travels to capital cities during the month of August.  For 11 years, Coonawarra winemakers, winery owners and their families have embarked on a nationwide road trip to conduct tastings and chat to wine enthusiasts about their wines in six Australian capital cities.

This year, we are very excited to announce that we are travelling to Tasmania to host our inaugural Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow in Hobart on Friday 15th August.  This is a rare opportunity to experience the best that Coonawarra has to offer in your very own back yard.  Individual wineries from the renowned Coonawarra region will showcase their wines at this celebrated event. With up to 26 Coonawarra wineries represented, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the wines and meet the winemakers and owners behind these famous brands.

Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations Weekend
 
When you think of Australian Cabernet, there is only one name to remember… Coonawarra!  Renowned the world over, Coonawarra is officially recognised as having Australia’s BEST Cabernet vineyards, all tucked into a neat cigar shaped Terra Rossa strip nestled half way between Adelaide and Melbourne.
 
This year marks the 18th annual Cabernet Weekend we are very excited to announce that we have redeveloped the program to feature some wonderful new elements of fun, entertainment and insight.  This year the Coonawarra Park will play host to the Cabernet Festival.  With a marketplace, great street food, Cabernet tastings, music and something for the kids, the Cabernet Festival will be the place to visit during your stay in Coonawarra.
 
This year's program also includes the famous Cabernet Masterclass, Retrospective Tasting and a world class Grand Banquet featuring top quality local wines, gourmet food and an auction of some rare and interesting Coonawarra wines.
