Balnaves of Coonawarra is a small family owned winery, proud of the wines they produce, many of which are award-winning, a testament to their commitment to quality made wines.

Balnaves wines are 100% Coonawarra, and produced exclusively from fruit grown by the Balnaves Family in Coonawarra. They strive to produce consistently high quality wines from fruit sourced from their own Coonawarra vineyards, reflecting the unique flavours, character and quality of fruit grown in this area, as well as the variation of seasons in this cool climate area.

The Wine Room overlooks a tranquil pond full of native bird life, surrounded by vineyards and over 900 beautiful rose bushes. There is much to offer with its unique glass floor showcasing the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa soil profile, along with decking overlooking the pond or amongst the gum trees and native gardens. Taste the range of award-winning wines with their friendly, knowledgeable staff. Look out over the pond while the birds swim and the cows graze among the vineyards.

Visit our wine room and enjoy a Picnic Cheese Box with selected cheeses and gourmet seasonal produce, also available to take-away. Laze on the lawn, relax on one of the decks overlooking the pond or under the gum trees or sit among our roses. Wine for sale by the glass, Picnic Cheese Boxes available 12-4pm and are also available to take away, 7 days a week.
